Under a multi year naming rights deal, Geomatic Technologies provides significant support to Team Joker including navigation systems provision that leverages GT’s extensive mobile and spatial expertise and heritage in the marine environment. Designed by David Lyons and built by Jarken Yachts, Geomatic Joker is a 39 foot sloop.

Geomatic Joker makes her Rolex Sydney Hobart debut in 2009. With new keel modifications, the crew are looking to build on their successes of the past season. In 2008, she became Mornington Club Champion and placed overall winner in the Ocean Racing Club of Victoria’s Salamanca Series. Competing in the prestigious IRC Handicap division, GeomaticJoker put together three solid performances (including 2nd place in the Melbourne to Hobart) to secure a convincing Series win in inaugural event.
