MARS

Geomatic Technologies (GT) Mapping Address and Routing Service (MARS) provides address validation, information retrieval (based on a postcode, local government area, electorate, etc.), routing and mapping functionality in a standards based interface that can be easily integrated into business applications.

Typically Geographic Information Systems (GIS) are isolated from the enterprise architecture and composed of many disparate applications supported through relationships with many different vendors. An isolated GIS framework struggles to find general acceptance and use in an organisation and as such does not fully support optimal decision making.

Utilising GT MARS, GIS functionality can be relocated with a standard enterprise architecture where it is available to everybody, everywhere, at any time. Through adoption of vendor independent interoperability standards, functionality can be consumed by business process enabling tools providing a seamless and cost effective solution to spatially enable your business.

Microsoft Virtual Earth™

Microsoft Virtual Earth™ provides a powerful web mapping environment that comprises an integrated set of services and quality geospatial data, including aerial and satellite imagery. The platform also includes a comprehensive API for the creation of dynamic web-based mapping applications that include routing, geocoding and 3D visualisation.

Key Features include:

  1. Bird’s eye view imagery: Exclusive to Microsoft—get unique views of real-world locations, providing insight into “what it’s like there?” Bird’s eye view imagery is popular with travel sites and real estate sites because users can get a glimpse of the location or house. Users can also pan continuously across the map in bird’s eye view.
  2. Aerial imagery: Enjoy high-resolution aerial images from the best-of-breed imagery providers.
